At Holy Family School, registration implies acceptance of our values, discipline, and code of conduct. Every student is expected to uphold the dignity and ethos of the institution in behaviour, appearance, and attitude.
Students are expected to demonstrate increasing self-discipline with age and to exercise the freedom given to them with responsibility. They should treat all members of the staff and all adults with respect and politeness, and show gentleness and courtesy to their companions. Refinement of manners, uprightness, and self-restraint should be characteristic of every student. Good manners and polite behaviour are an integral part of education.
When the bell is rung, students must go into their respective classrooms in silence. Talking in the corridors is restricted. The classroom must be neat and tidy and looked after by the class monitor. Silence must be strictly observed during class hours and during the change of teachers or movement between classes.
During the absence of a teacher, students must obey the monitor of the class. Those who have been absent and those who come late must show their Regularity Record to be signed by the class teacher.
No outsiders are allowed to visit classrooms or teachers without proper permission. Any other activities that do not pertain directly to the academic programme can only be allowed with the explicit approval of the Principal.
Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings, which must be clearly marked with their names. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of any belongings of pupils. Any damage to school property must be remedied at the cost of the person responsible.
Students are forbidden to bring electronic gadgets, jewellery, or any items not related to academics. No books, periodicals, or magazines other than school or library books may be brought to school. Forbidden articles will be confiscated, and students found with them will not be allowed to enter the classroom.
Students will also be detained from entering the classroom if found wearing nail polish, lipstick, or having decorative designs on their palms with mehendi.
Any complaint or suggestion regarding pedagogy, curriculum, or teachers should be made to the Principal in writing. Verbal complaints will not be entertained. The school encourages respectful communication and constructive feedback.
